“Farm tours help grow Loudoun’s economy,” said Loudoun Agricultural Development Officer Kellie Boles. “When customers get to personally visit a working farm, learn from the owner how the products are grown, and experience how great fresh food tastes, they’re more likely to buy from that farm,” she explained. “Farm tour weekends generate thousands of dollars in revenue.”
Brochures for the Spring Farm Tour will feature a map with descriptions and directions to all participating farms. The brochures will be available at Loudoun County libraries and community centers, and at Visit Loudoun in Leesburg. The information will also be online at www.LoudounFarms.org.
