Doe Aren't Always Dear

Over the weekend, a confused doe smashed into a local real estate office, but business resumed Monday

A normally docile wild animal attacked a Leesburg business on Saturday, causing a literal bloody mess.

That assault came in the form of a “poor, frightened doe,” which smashed through the front door of on Saturday at around noon Gwen Pangle, who , told Patch Monday.

The doe, which caused a huge mess in the office but did not do extensive damage artwork or property, had to be put down by Loudoun County Animal Control. “She beat herself up pretty badly trying to get out,” Pangle said.

Master Police Officer Christopher Tidmore confirmed that the Leesburg Police, Leesburg Fire Department and Loudoun County Animal Control responded.

Business returned to normal Monday after a thorough cleaning of the office by ServePro of Loudoun County, a professional fire and water damage restoration company.
“Thanks to for alerting us, thank you to Leesburg's finest for getting her out of the building and thank you most of all to Serve-Pro for cleaning us up and putting us back together,” Pangle said.
