Dog Abandoned at Hotel in Leesburg

Loudoun County Animal Service is looking for information on the owners of a dog abandoned at a Leesburg hotel.

The female Pit Bull type dog, approximately two years old, had been tethered to a tree behind the dumpster at the Best Western Hotel at 721 E. Market Street.

Witnesses told animal services that the dog had been there for several days before authorities were called.

The dog is being cared for at the Loudoun County Animal Shelter.
