Early voting starts in Virginia Sept. 20

Early voting for the Nov. 5 general election in Virginia begins Sept. 20. The last day to vote early is Nov. 2.

All general registrar offices offer early voting. Some localities may offer early voting in additional locations. Locations will be listed below as dates and times are confirmed. For all early voting and ballot dropbox information, contact the general registrar's office.

The Loudoun County Office of Elections & Voter Registration is located at: 750 Miller Drive SE, Suite C, in Leesburg. The office has begun a campaign on its social media pages to educate and inform the public about the voting process:

"With the election coming up, you're going to see a lot of information about the Virginia election/voter registration process. To make it easier to understand, we're going to spend the next few weeks breaking the process down into easy and simple steps. Make sure to check back over the next few weeks for details on each step of the election and voter registration process."

* Ashby Ponds Senior Living Community in Ashburn on Sept. 17 from 1-3 p.m. at 21170 Ashby Ponds Blvd.

* Ashburn Chase Apartments in Ashburn on Sept. 18 from 2-4 p.m. at 19761 Ashburn Rd, Ste 501.

* Pacifica Assisted Living Community in Sterling on Sept. 19 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at 46555 Leesburg Pike.
