Easter 2012 in Leesburg

EASTER EGG HUNTS:
Eco Easter at Morven Park
Morven Park will be holding an Eco-Easter event on Saturday, April 7 beginning at 10 a.m. Kids can hunt for eggs and take part in the egg roll. Take photos with the Easter Bunny, meet live rabbits from 4-H’s Leaps & Squeaks Club and make crafts to take home. Kids should bring a mixing spoon and hard-boiled egg for the egg roll. The cost of the event is $10/child; $8/member child and $3/adult. Adult members are free. Pre-registration is required.

Paxton Egg Hunt
Families are invited to enjoy an Easter egg hunt, visits with the Easter Bunny, moon bounces and other activities at the Paxton Campus on Saturday, April 7. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to noon at 601 Catoctin Circle, in Leesburg. Call 703-777-1939, ext. 207 for more details.  

Annual Dadona Manor Easter Egg Hunt
The 2nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held on the grounds of Dodona Manor on Saturday, April 7 beginning at 1:30 p.m. More than 2,000 Easter eggs full of surprises and treats will be hidden for the children. In addition to the hunt, there will be bag decorating, face painting, raffles and more! A $5 donation per child at entry is appreciated. Registration is not required.

12th Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Leesburg Animal Park
The Leesburg Animal Park will host its 12^th Annual Easter Egg Hunt on April 7 and 8 beginning at 2 p.m. The Easter Bunny will be in attendance welcoming visitors, posing for photos and handing out treats. Admission is $8.50 for children and seniors (kids under 2 are FREE) and $10.50 for adults. There is no additional fee to participate in the Easter Egg Hunt. Visit Leesburg Animal Park online or call 703-433-0002. 

LAST MINUTE DESSERTS
Mom's Apple Pie
Stop by for your last minute pies before Easter Sunday. There are also a number of cookies, breads, brownies, and other baked goods available. Call 703-771-8590.

There are plenty of sweet treats available at Lola's now through Saturday including cookies shaped like eggs, bunnies and carrots. You might also want to consider Easter cupcakes with a vanilla butter cream and Cadbury mini eggs, chocolate vanilla with pastel colored frosting, and gluten-free carrot cupcakes. EASTER MEALS
The Old Town Grill/Georgetown Cafe
Kick off your Easter meal with potato salad, fresh fruit, marinated mushrooms and other fresh starters. Entrees include stuffed leg of lamb, roasted beef with Au Jus & horseradish sauce, Virginia Ham, sauteed Tilapia and chicken breast. A number of sides and desserts will also be served. The Easter buffet costs $25.95 for adults and $9.95 for children under 10. Reservations are encouraged. Call 703-777-7246.

Tuscarora Mill
An Easter buffet will be featured Easter Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. A carving station will feature lamb, prime rib, and ham as well as an omelet bar. An evening dinner will also be served. The cost is $43 per person. To request a reservation, please call 703-771-9300.

Vintage 50
An Easter Sunday brunch will be held at Vintage 50 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Brunch will include a glass of champagne, a Mimosa, coffee, tea or soda. Create your own omelet or waffle. There will also be Honey Bourbon Glazed Ham, a leg of lamb, house cured Salmon, shrimp cocktail, and a number of sides and desserts. A face painter and balloon artist will also be on hand.
