Election Officials Offer Voter Registration and Photo ID Cards
Loudoun County election officials are scheduling voter registration events, which include assistance with the new photo ID requirement.

In advance of the November 2014 general election, Loudoun County election officials are scheduling onsite voter registration events, which include assistance with the new photo identification card requirement.
On Saturday, September 20, 2014, General Registrar Judy Brown will be at the Carver Center in Purcellville from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. to offer voter registration. Also, those voters who do not have an acceptable form of photo identification will be given the opportunity to apply for a free voter photo identification card.

Tuesday, September 23, 2014 is National Voter Registration Day. The Office of Elections in conjunction with the Loudoun League of Women Voters will be offering voter registration at all four Loudoun County Senior Centers from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. and at all eight libraries from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. In addition, a representative of the Office of Elections will be at the Carver Center, Cascades Senior Center, and the Dulles Multipurpose Center, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. to offer voters, who do not have an acceptable form of photo identification, the opportunity to apply for a free voter photo identification card. Addresses and directions for the branches of the Loudoun County Public Library are online at http://library.loudoun.gov.
The free voter photo identification card is available to any registered voter who does not already have a valid form of photo identification. A new law requires all voters who appear in person to vote to present a valid photo identification prior to voting. Acceptable forms of photo identification include: valid Virginia Driver’s License, a government-issued photo identification card, DMV-issued photo identification card, valid employee photo identification card, a Virginia valid college or university student photo identification card, a valid United States Passport or a Virginia Voter Photo Identification Card.

Anyone who does not have an acceptable form of photo ID may obtain a free Virginia Voter Photo Identification Card at the Office of Elections, 750 Miller Drive, S.E., Suite C, Leesburg, VA 20175, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. More information on photo ids and voting is online at www.loudoun.gov/photo-id.
Also, in-person absentee voting is being offered at the Office of Elections during normal business hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
