Faith Based Substance Abuse Information Session & Training

Chair Phyllis Randall invites all faith leaders to Substance Abuse Training at Capital Community Church on Thursday, September 6, 2018

Faith Based Substance Abuse Information Session & Training on September 6, 2018 at Capital Community Church in Ashburn.

People of faith and even non-church goers can often find themselves requesting assistance from faith leaders, who act as first responders, for different crises that occur both professionally and personally. Loudoun County Board Chair Phyllis Randall would like to cordially invite every faith leader to the Substance Abuse Information Session and Training program. The event, hosted by Capital Community Church, will equip faith leaders with the ability to detect issues of substance abuse occurring in our community.

The training will discuss the resources that are available through Loudoun County to include, how to respond to someone needing assistance in your community, the difference between prevention, detox and treatment, and in what way government and the Church can partner together.
