Fire Causes No Injuries, $200,000 in Damage
Officials are still investigating the townhouse fire that broke out on Davis Ave SW in Leesburg on Wednesday
A townhouse fire at 419 Davis Ave. SW in Leesburg on Wednesday afternoon caused no injuries, but fire marshals estimated $200,000 in damages.
Firefighters from Leesburg, Lansdowne, Hamilton and Purcellville responded to the blaze at about 3 p.m. Wednesday, and reported a “structure fire with visible smoke and flames from the garage and slight extension to the exterior of the home,” according to a press release from the Loudoun County Department of Fire, Rescue and Emergency Management.
All of the townhouse’s occupants had left the building before emergency personnel responded.

Crews had the blaze under control shortly after they arrived, according to the release, and the fire did not spread to adjoining townhouses.
The Loudoun County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire, and estimates damages at $200,000.

No civilians or fire department personnel reported injuries, but one occupant was displaced, and declined assistance from the Red Cross, according to the release.
