Have You Seen This Man? Leesburg Police Looking for Robbery Suspect
Suspect stole cash, cigarettes from gas station last week, say police.

The Leesburg Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect who robbed a gas station last week on Edwards Ferry Road.
At about 4:47 a.m. Tuesday, June 23, the suspect entered the Exxon gas station/convenience store at 984 Edwards Ferry Road NE. He walked behind the counter and proceeded to bag several packs of cigarettes. The suspect then opened two different cash registers and took an undisclosed amount of currency from each register.

As the suspect was putting the money into his pocket, he was confronted by the cashier, and a brief struggle ensued, with the suspect eventually breaking free and running from the store. It is unknown if the suspect eventually left the area in a vehicle or on foot. The cashier did not sustain any injuries.
The suspect is described as a black male, 30 to 40 years old, about 6 feet tall and weighing 200 pounds. He was wearing a blue and white striped short-sleeved shirt, blue shorts and white sneakers.
