Heavy Traffic Looms For Thanksgiving Weekend Shoppers: Leesburg Police
Vehicle and pedestrian traffic will be heavily congested near Leesburg Premium Outlets and other shopping areas this weekend, police warned.

LEESBURG, VA — Vehicular and pedestrian traffic is expected to be heavily congested near the Leesburg Premium Outlets, 241 Fort Evans Road NE, as well as other local shopping centers around the Town of Leesburg beginning Friday, Nov. 25, and lasting throughout the weekend, police said in a news release.
Heavy traffic is expected to cause delays as traffic volume will exceed road capacity. During times of peak congestion, Leesburg police officers may direct drivers onto less congested secondary routes to ease traffic movement.
Electronic signboards will be set up along the secondary routes (Fort Evans Road and Potomac Station Drive) to guide drivers toward the main thoroughfares (Routes 7, 15, & 267) via Battlefield Parkway and River Creek Parkway.
