If You See Something, Say Something

As we approach the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, the Leesburg Police Department would like to remind everyone that we all have a shared responsibility to prevent crime and keep our hometown safe. The safety and security of our hometown is a team effort involving community members, businesses and the police. If you see something that looks suspicious in your neighborhood or workplace, do not be afraid to report it to your local law enforcement. As a part of a nationwide effort among law enforcement and the Department of Homeland Security, the Leesburg Police Department is proud to join the “See Something, Say Something campaign.   If you observe something that is suspicious or “out of the ordinary”, please contact local law enforcement immediately.  Do not delay when making the call to police.  Law enforcement will respond and take the appropriate action.  Please give the call taker as much information as possible.  To assist the officers responding, please either meet with them or give a phone number so you call be called back for any follow up questions.  You can contact the Leesburg Police Department at 703-771-4500 (non emergency calls) or by calling 911 (emergency calls).
