The fire broke out around 4:30 a.m. on Saturday morning at a house in the 16000 block of Woodgrove Road. The family woke up when they smelled smoke and heard breaking glass, the fire department report said.
The family called 911 and reported that the rear of their home was on fire. When firefighters arrived on the scene, they saw heavy fire at the back of the house that was spreading into the attic.

"Firefighters made an aggressive interior fire attack and were able to extinguish the bulk of the fire quickly," the fire department wrote on Facebook. "Fire crews remained on scene to perform salvage and overhaul operations."
Authorities reported that the family used a previously established escape plan to leave the home and reconvene outside.
The displaced residents are staying with family members in the area, fire and rescue officials said.
A GoFundMe to support the family had raised nearly $30,000 on Monday morning.
"We are doing everything we can do to stay positive for our children during this incredibly difficult time. However, we have lost absolutely everything," the family wrote on the GoFundMe. "We literally escaped with the clothes on our backs, and for most of us, not even shoes on our feet."
The family is hoping to raise $50,000 to find a temporary living situation as they rebuild their home.
