As part of its free “Ask the Expert” lecture series, Inova Loudoun Hospital will host “Robotic Joint Replacement: What’s New in Hip & Knees?” on Tuesday, September 27 at 6 p.m. Do you suffer from knee and/or hip pain? Join Dr. Nauman Akhtar, Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon and Medical Director of Inova Loudoun Hospital’s Joint Replacement Program, for an informative lecture and Q&A session about the latest advances in computer navigated and robotic-assisted hip and knee replacements. Learn how robotic-assisted partial knee replacements (MAKOplasty) can help patients to improve mobility, minimize pain, and enjoy a more active lifestyle.

Dr. Akhtar specializes in robotic-assisted, computer navigated and minimally invasive joint replacement procedures including partial knee resurfacing, hip, shoulder, and knee replacements, arthroscopy, and fracture care. A graduate of Tufts University School of Medicine in 2004, he completed his internship and residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Michigan and his Fellowship at New England Baptist Hospital, an affiliate of Harvard University.

Inova Loudoun Hospital has earned the Gold Seal of Approval from The Joint Commission for orthopedic excellence in hip and knee replacement procedures.
