Kevin Wojtkun Achieves Trail Life Rangerman

On Thursday, January 16, Trail Life Troop VA-0611 held a Court of Honor for Kevin Wojtkun at St Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Purcellville, VA. The Court of Honor was attended by Kevin’s Troop mates, friends and family. The Court of Honor was the final step in Kevin achieving designation as a Trail Life Rangerman, the highest rank in the Trail Life program.

Achievement of Trail Life Rangerman is a major accomplishment that requires dedication, the support of a loving family, and strong leadership of his troop master. To achieve Trail Life Rangerman a young man must execute a service project. Kevin’s service project built and stocked shelves for the Agape Pregnancy Center. He led a team through over 200 hours of work to build the shelves and gather donations to fund the purchase of materials. His efforts resulted in over $6,500 raised in money and materials. As an added bonus Kevin collected donations, purchased and filled 500 baby bottles for new mothers and their babies.

The Sgt Maj John Champe (SMJC) Chapter, Virginia Society Sons of the American Revolution recognized Kevin’s achievement by presenting him a Certificate of Achievement for attaining the rank of Trail Life Rangerman. For outstanding service to his community the Chapter presented Kevin the SAR Bronze Good Citizenship Medal. Chapter president Barry Schwoerer made the presentations on behalf of the SMJC Chapter.
