Ladies Board Rummage Sale Needs Donations

Volunteers will be accepting donations on Saturday, September 10 and Saturday, October 1 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The Ladies Board of Inova Loudoun Hospital is in search of donations for the 78th Annual Ladies Board Rummage Sale scheduled for Saturday, October 15 and Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Morven Park Equestrian Center in Leesburg (41580 Sunday Morning Lane). Named Best Annual Charity Event in Northern Virginia by Virginia Living magazine, the Rummage Sale is the largest sale in the mid-Atlantic region.

While all donations are needed, there is a special request for new or gently used designer clothes, shoes and accessories. Organizers also are asking for rare or special items such as antiques, memorabilia, vintage collections, sports or entertainment tickets for the Silent Auction which will be held on Saturday, October 15 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Other generally accepted categories include furniture, antiques, sports equipment, books and media, clothing, house wares, holiday, linens, lamps, and toys. Volunteers will be accepting donations on Saturday, September 10 and Saturday, October 1 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Inova Loudoun Hospital in Lansdowne (44045 Riverside Parkway) and at Inova Loudoun Medical Campus in Leesburg (224 Cornwall Street). Donations are also accepted by appointment; to schedule please call 703-771-2985. Organizers request that items be packed in sealed boxes with lids/flaps and only pack clothes in plastic bags tied shut.

All donations received are tax deductible and will be offered for sale at the 78th Annual Ladies Board Rummage Sale. Net proceeds support Inova Loudoun Hospital and the Ladies Board Nursing Scholarship Fund. The Ladies Board raises several hundred thousand dollars each year to fund special needs equipment at Inova Loudoun Hospital. The Ladies Board has also pledged $1 million for the Cornwall Cares project and annually awards more than $100,000 in nursing scholarships.

The Ladies Board of Inova Loudoun Hospital, a non-profit organization, mission is to promote good will between the community and the hospital, and to raise funds for nursing education, patient services and special projects.
