Leesburg Animal Park Prepares for Pumpkinville

The Leesburg Animal Park's annual Pumpkinville starts this Saturday.

Office Manager Amy Rodriguez said this is the 12th year for the event, which features giant hill slides, a hay maze, moon bounces, face painting and live entertainment.

The six-week event will also include access to the animal park. Free apple cider and a take home pumpkin will also be available this year.

“Pumpkinville is great because it’s out in Loudoun County so you get a little bit of a smaller crowd than some of the other festivals closer in to the city,” Rodriguez said. “Of course, I think everybody likes to get out with their family and enjoy the fall weather. It’s just a beautiful time of year to get outside and do some outdoor activities and this is kind of perfect for that.”

The fall event will take place every day from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Nov. 4. After that, the animal park will remain open through November as long as the weather cooperates. It will reopen next March, she said.
