Leesburg Announces Date, Time For Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony

The Town Of Leesburg said their holiday tree lighting would feature holiday songs by the Lost Locals and visits from classic characters.

LEESBURG, VA — The Town of Leesburg will host their annual holiday tree lighting ceremony on Friday, Dec. 3 at 6 p.m. The ceremony will also include a musical performance by the Lost Locals and visits from characters like Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.

The ceremony will be held on the Town Green, located at 25 W. Market Street. The event will also feature a message from Mayor Kelly Burk.

The event will shut down W. Market Street from Wirt Street to King Street. Any traffic exiting the Town Hall parking garage will be permitted to exit on Loudoun Street or go east on W. Market Street.

The ceremony will be free and open to the public, Leesburg officials said. The event will also be livestreamed on the town's Facebook page.

On Saturday, Dec. 4 and Sunday, Dec. 5, the town plans to host a holiday-themed fine arts and crafts show. Admission and parking for the crafts show are free, and face masks are required. The event will be held at the Ida Lee Park Recreation Center.

On Saturday, Dec. 11, the Town of Leesburg will hold their Christmas and holiday parade. Floats including Santa and other holiday mainstays will roll through King Street and end at Fairfax Street.
