Leesburg Man Dies In Crash
Chauncey Smith, Jr., 57, lost his life on Dec. 16 while traveling south on Route 15.
A Leesburg man lost his life last Friday after he was involved in a single vehicle crash on Route 15 south of Leesburg.
Chauncey Smith, Jr., 57, was traveling south on Route 15 in a 1985 Chevrolet Corvette, on Dec. 16, when around 1 p.m. the vehicle left the roadway near Oatlands Road. The vehicle then crossed back across the roadway and struck a tree. Smith lost his life at the scene.
The investigation continues as the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Unit is determing a cause.
