LEESBURG, VA — The Leesburg Corner Premium Outlets, a major shopping destination in Leesburg, changed its name this week to Leesburg Premium Outlets. The name change coincides with an ongoing major renovation of the shopping mall. The upgrades are scheduled for completion next summer.

Simon Property Group, a developer of shopping, dining, entertainment and mixed-use properties, announced the name change on Monday. The Leesburg outlet mall was built in 1998 and acquired by Simon in 2004.

"The center's new name reflects our ongoing commitment to reimagining the shopping experience with the area's best outlet stores and an inviting atmosphere for our guests to enjoy," Jim Gonzales, general manager of Leesburg Premium Outlets, said Monday in a statement.
