Leesburg Police Arrest Suspect in Stabbing Incident

A juvenile suspect has been arrested in connection with a Sunday night stabbing. Police are still investigating.

Shortly before 9:00 PM Sunday June 19, 2011, Leesburg Police responded to the 100 block of Fort Evans Rd NE for a reported stabbing. On the scene, officers found a juvenile male suffering from a stab wound.  After  investigating the incident, it was determined  that the victim was walking in the 100 block of Fort Evans Rd NE when he was approached by the suspect who then stabbed him and fled the scene.  The suspect was described as a black male dressed in dark clothing. The victim was treated on scene and then medivac’ed to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.

After further investigation, a search warrant was served at 5:30 AM in the Town of Leesburg.  An arrest of the juvenile suspect was made by the Leesburg Police Department. He is currently being held in the Loudoun County Juvenile Detention Center.

Our latest information regarding the victim was that he was in stable condition and being treated for his wounds received in the attack.
