Leesburg Police To Celebrate National Night Out

A special event will take place Tuesday night at a town apartment complex.

From 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, the Leesburg Police Department will participate in the 32nd annual National Night Out. This year’s National Night Out location in Leesburg will be the Manor East Apartments, at 36 Fort Evans Road NE. Come and join forces with neighborhoods throughout Leesburg in a fight against crime!

National Night Out is designed to: (1) Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness; (2) Generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime efforts; (3) Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and (4) Send a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

This is a day when all residents in neighborhoods throughout Leesburg and across the nation are asked to lock their doors, turn on outside lights and spend the evening outside with neighbors and police.
