Leesburg resident Rod Young was part of a tennis team that recently finished third at the USTA League National Championships

Leesburg resident Rod Young was part of a tennis team that recently finished third at the USTA 40 & Over 8.0 Mixed League National Championships, which was held at the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Complex in Surprise, Ariz., Nov. 13-15.

The team was captained by Charles Tellis (Fairfax, Va.) and Edward Yang (Alexandria, Va.) and made up of Thy Dang-Nguyen (Alexandria, Va.), Terry Fogle Lederer (Oak Hill, Va.), Gina Snowdy (Germantown, Md.), Chris Catignani (Arlington, Va.), Rod Young (Leesburg, Va.), Toan Dao (Haymarket, Va.), Anita Wilson (Arlington, Va.) and Jonathan Santos (Fairfax, Va.).
