Leesburg Restaurant Inspections: 18 Violations At 5 Locations
The Loudoun County Health Department cited violations at 5 different restaurants during their most recent round of inspections in Leesburg.
LEESBURG, VA — Officials from the Loudoun County Health Department inspected multiple restaurants across the Leesburg area from Sept. 1 to Sept. 7, including five different locations with violations.
As coronavirus restrictions continue to fluctuate around the state, health inspectors are returning to conduct some restaurant inspections in person. However, some visits, such as those for training purposes, can be conducted virtually.
Violations at restaurants typically focus on factors that can contribute to food contamination. The local health department can also perform a re-inspection to ensure that possible violations have been corrected.

For every observed violation, the inspector provides a specific corrective action that can be completed to rectify the violation. Sometimes these are simple, and violations can be corrected during the course of the inspection.

- The bottom portion of the roast hot holding on the slicer is not hot holding at proper temperature. The top portion (closer to the heating element) is at 180F. Jus in thermos hot holding at improper temperatures due to it being unplugged.
- The ice deflector of the ice machine has visible pink and black residue on it.
