Local SAR Chapter Honors those lost on September 11, 2001

Sgt Maj John Champe SAR Chapter members Mark Sink and Barry Schwoerer participated in the Culpeper, VA commemoration of 9-11 honoring the men and women lost in the terrorist attacks against the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and the crash of Flight 93 in Shanksville, PA. Culpeper held the commemoration at Culpeper Baptist Church where a large color guard contingent of Culpeper Police and Culpeper County sheriff’s officers were joined by a team of Sons of the American Revolution. The Culpeper Minutemen Chapter and Sgt Maj John Champe joined in presentation of Colors to open the memorial event. Mr. Schwoerer carried a replica Revolutionary War era flintlock musket and Mr. Sink carried the flag of the National Society Sons of the American Revolution.
