Local SAR Chapter presents Patrick Henry College a Flag Certificate of Commendation

On Wednesday, April 8, the Sgt Maj John Champe (SMJC) Chapter, Virginia Society Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) presented a Flag Certificate of Commendation to Patrick Henry College. Presenting the certificate was Barry Schwoerer, President of the SMJC Chapter. Accepting the Certificate was Tim Dunlap, Director of Campus Facilities and Security.

The Flag certificate reads: "In recognition of Exemplary Patriotism in the display of the Flag of the United States of America". To receive the certificate the flag must be flown only from dusk to dawn, or be lighted at night. Further, the flag must be replaced when worn, torn or soiled. Patrick Henry College met these requirements.
