Local SAR Chapter Recognizes Navy JROTC Cadet Erik Buer

The Naval Junior Officer Training Corps at Loudoun County High School held its annual end of year awards and senior cadet recognition program Wednesday evening, May 14th. Cadet Lieutenant Junior Grade Erik Buer was recognized by the Sgt Maj John Champe Chapter, VA SAR as one of the outstanding Cadets with award of the SAR Bronze ROTC Medal with certificate, and presentation of a $500 Scholarship in recognition of outstanding leadership qualities, military bearing and excellence, which exemplifies the high ideals and principles which motivated and sustained our patriot ancestors.

Following the awards program the Cadet corps held a Change of Command ceremony and promoted some of the cadets to leadership positions. Cadet Erik Buer was promoted to Cadet Lieutenant Commander and will be take on a major leadership position in the 2025-2026 school year.
