Lola's Cookies & Treats Prepares for Easter Holiday
An assortment of cookies and cupcakes are currently available to purchase.
It’s been a busy week so far at Lola’s Cookies & Treats as they continue to fill last-minute orders prior to Sunday’s Easter holiday.
“We’ve been really busy here the last couple years around Easter and I expect we will be again this year,” said owner Lorraine Hooper. “I think anytime families get together and gather for a meal they always need a little help putting it all together. It’s a festive and happy occasion so it’s always nice to kind of enhance that with a festive dessert.”
Hooper said she is no longer taking custom orders but has plenty of other sweet treats available. There are cookies shaped like eggs, bunnies and carrots, she said, including Easter cupcakes with a vanilla buttercream and Cadbury mini eggs, chocolate vanilla with pastel colored frosting, and gluten-free carrot cupcakes. The carrot cupcakes were completely sold out on Monday.

“They’ve been so popular we’re having a lot of trouble keeping them in stock,” Hooper said.
The good news, Hooper said, is that she should have every flavor in stock during the rest of the week. Customers are welcome to stop by if they’re looking for something that’s made fresh, wholesome and a local tradition.
