Loudoun Celebrates Fire Prevention Week

A number of events will be held throughout the county from Oct. 9 to 15 to recognize the importance of fire safety

Fire-Rescue members throughout Loudoun County will join together in celebration of Emergency Fire Prevention Week from Oct. 9 to 15, which promotes the education about fire safety. This year’s theme is “Protect your family from fire!”

Fire companies throughout the County will conduct a variety of activities and open houses designed to raise public awareness about fire prevention. The following is a list of Fire Prevention Week events scheduled throughout the county:

·         October 8th- Leesburg Volunteer Fire Open House. 10:00am to 2:30pm at Leesburg Fire Station #20 located at 61 Plaza Street NE, Leesburg.  For details visit www.leesburgfire.org

·         October 8th- Sterling Volunteer Fire Open House. 11:00am to 3:00pm at Sterling Park Fire Station #11 located at104 Commerce Street, Sterling.  For details visit www.sterlingfire.org

·         October 9th- Ashburn Volunteer Fire and Rescue Open House. 12:00pm to 3:30pm at Ashburn Fire Station #6 located at 20688 Ashburn Road, Ashburn. For details visit www.ashburnfirerescue.org
