Loudoun County High School NJROTC Cadet recognized by Sgt Maj John Champe Chapter
Cadet Chief Petty Officer Jordan Bruce awarded SAR Bronze ROTC Medal

Thursday, May 21. At the annual end-of-year awards and recognition ceremony on for the Loudoun County High School Naval Junior Officer Training Corps unit, the Sgt Maj John Champe Chapter SAR presented Cadet Chief Petty Officer Jordan Bruce the SAR Bronze ROTC Medal. The medal is presented to a cadet who demonstrates outstanding leadership qualities, military bearing and excellence, and academic accomplishment. These achievements exemplify the high ideals and principles which motivated and sustained our Patriot ancestors.
Cadet Bruce was asked to submit an essay and application to the National SAR JROTC scholarship program. His application will be submitted to the Virginia Society Sons of the American Revolution for judging against other Virginia JROTC applicants. If he wins the Virginia Society competition his application will be submitted to the National Society SAR. The winner takes home a scholarship of $5,000.
Presenting the award for the Sgt Maj John Champe Chapter were: Barry Schwoerer-President; Mark Sink -Vice President, and Ken Bonner-Virginia Society SAR 1st VP and Vice President General International Division of SAR.
