LEESBURG, VA — Two robbers armed with a bat and a baton stole from a Valero gas station in Leesburg on Wednesday night, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Authorities are asking for the public's help identifying the robbers.

A gas station employee was assaulted during the robbery. They were taken to a hospital for treatment and released on Thursday.

Police said the two robbers entered the Valero convenience store at 13200 block James Monroe Highway around 11:50 p.m. on Thursday. One of the men took money from the register while the other hit the convenience store employee with a baton.
