One Loudoun Revival is Unstoppable

Gathering of Loudoun's interdenominational and multi-ethnic believers to boldly fulfill the Great Commission of "Spreading the Gospel"

“If we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord” (Romans 14:8).

Most of us have experienced transformation encounters with God inside our Churches. We have found Him within the walls of our own congregations and have been challenged to become His disciples and to do His work. Our Churches are a special place, a sacred sanctuary that separates us from the secular world. The Church building maintains a familiar environment where we worship with the same people each week and become quite comfortable with the service specific to our Christian denomination. However, the walls within our Church can become an end unto themselves.

We can easily forget that Church is not a structure, but a congregation who exist to do God’s work. A great component of the Church is to devote time and resources to ministry and outreach. Without strong outreach we cannot discern God’s call as to how we might best share Jesus’ love within our community. Without outreach, how do we teach our children about sharing God’s faithfulness and love and convey to our youth that they are God’s children? We need to invest in our children by setting examples about how to network with other churches, build partnerships in the neighborhood and share resources to address poverty, sickness and hopelessness.

Our focus should be on God and teaching others to know Him. Each Church should maintain resources to do the work of the ministry and to build trusting relationships in the community. The congregation is like a river and we flow wherever God desires.

“You also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ” (1 Peter 2:5). We glorify God in our bodies and in everything that we set forth to do. May God give us the faith and determination to live the dream that is His Kingdom.

One Loudoun Revival Nightly Order of Service

Intercessory Prayer – Apostle Anthony Jones/Bo Cook 6:00 PM

Call to Worship – P. Chad Carlton 7:00 PM

The Welcome – Bishop Tyrone Allen, Christ Star Church of God, Sterling, Va.

One Loudoun Revival Musicians – Adriel Henriquez and RE7MA

The band’s name is RE7MA. They use the prefix “RE” because it is the prefix for many words that describe components of God’s redemptive work for mankind (REsurrection, REvival, REbirth, REnew, etc.). “7” is used because it is associated with God’s work and reflects completeness. Without pronouncing the “7,” the band’s name reads REMA: when the Word becomes alive inside you and on your surroundings.

The Message - “Revival has come to Loudoun County”, Pastor Salvador Henriquez, Iglesia Del Avivamiento, Leesburg Va.

A summary of Pastor Salvador’s message is as follows:

My Experience with Revival

I want to begin by sharing with all of you my experience with revival and the voice of God. One summer evening, just like this one, we were about to finish our Sunday service. We had prayed. We had worshipped the Lord. We had received the Word. We had done everything congregations do in a service. When I was about to say the benediction and pray the final prayer the Lord stopped me in my tracks.

He spoke to me. It was not an audible voice but a very strong thought. He did not take over my will nor did I lose consciousness of what was happening. It was a very present and never leaving thought. The Lord said: “Salvador, you have done everything in your power and capacity to pray, worship and preach. You have worked enough. Let me do my work.” Now, everyone was ready to leave. The kids were anxious. The adults were tired. Every member who came were all standing thinking about what they were going to do after the service ended. Maybe they were planning to eat out or watch a soccer match. I certainly did not know their plans; however God had a plan for us.

The Lord gave me a command. He ordered: “tell everyone to come to the front”. I told them so. Some came. Some stayed where they were. He then said: “you are about to see a little taste of what is to come.” I just raised my hand. I did not even lay it on someone’s forehead. I raised my right hand and while it was ascending, the ones that came to the front were being slain in the Spirit. They were falling under the power, overcome by the Spirit. Half of the congregation laid on the floor feeling the touch of the Spirit. The other half fell to their knees feeling the Spirit’s mighty presence. I also fell to my knees and cried out to the Lord: “Don’t take this away from me!” He responded: “This is just a foretaste of what is coming. This revival is coming to you. Wait for it.” And that day, the Lord sowed a seed of hope in my heart.

What shall we do while we wait for the great revival? We certainly cannot bring it because a revival is an initiative of the Godhead. However, we can prepare for its coming by having the right attitudes. We can learn those attitudes from Zacchaeus.

The Attitudes of Zacchaeus

Zacchaeus was a short man. He was the boss of an organization that symbolized oppression but he exhibited four attitudes that we all should emulate while we wait for revival.

Expectation

Zacchaeus was hoping to see Jesus. His expectation to catch a glimpse of Jesus was so high that he climbed up a sycamore tree to do so. I can assume it was difficult for him because he was a chief tax collector, thus, he was old. Climbing up a tree was nothing for him because he was expecting Jesus, the carrier of the greatest revival the earth has ever seen. Are we really expecting a revival? Have our hopes died out? Do not let that hope evaporate! Expect and hope that Jesus cares for the people on this earth and he will not let his church go underpowered. Having hope and expectation for revival will motivate us to do what seems difficult.

Joy

Jesus saw Zachaeus on that tree and shouted out: “Zacchaeus, come down, because I will stay at your house today.” After hearing those words Zacchaeus hurried down the tree and welcomed Jesus into his house joyfully. That’s the keyword here. Joyfully. Have we forgotten about the joy that the good news bring? I do not know if you feel it but Christians do not show it. We all should show to everyone we know the joy of the Lord. It’s the joy of knowing that Jesus is in our hearts and homes even though we did not do anything to deserve it. The joy of having a promise for a great revival.

Disposition to Give Up

The third attitude that Zacchaeus exhibited was a disposition to give up what was most dear to him. And that was money. He had robbed many because money was his god. After meeting Jesus we can clearly see a change in his actions. He went from accumulating riches to giving them to the poor. Let us imitate Zacchaeus. Money may not be our god, but what about other things that interfere with our relationship with Jesus? Have we let go of attitudes and actions that we know are sinful? If Jesus is Lord over our lives but he is not Lord over our money, our bodies, or our emotions then He is not our Lord. The Lord has saved us not for us to keep on sinning but to become the salt and the light of the world. Let’s give up what we know is sinful.

Forgive and Restitution

“And if I have defrauded anyone of anything, I restore it fourfold.” The last words of Zacchaeus were words of forgiveness and restitution. Let’s ask for forgiveness. We have offended many knowingly or unknowingly. Let’s forgive if we have been offended. Let’s not forget about restitution, about restoring what was originally belonging to someone else. Pay your debts. Give back if you have stolen anything. It is the most difficult of the four attitudes to maintain but it will bring healing and unity to the body of Christ, to marriages and families.

Revival came to Zacchaeus home

Jesus expressed how salvation had come to Zacchaeus’ house. Jesus came to seek and save the lost and He paid for us to have a revival. Jesus wants to be the guest of your heart. Will you receive him joyfully? Will you let him change you? The power of the death and resurrection of Jesus saves you. He loves you dearly. Do not let Jesus stay out of your heart. Let his power transform you.

Mr. Henriquez pastors a Pentecostal congregation serving Salvadoran immigrants. This 14 year old church is one of the larger Hispanic congregations in the county. Pastor Salvador Henriquez came to the USA after he received a vision from God 16 years ago, that God would bring revival here. Let it be so, Lord!

Alter Call

Remarks/Benediction 8:45 PM

Note: It is understood that when Jesus told us the story of the Good Samaritan who gave sacrificially of himself to love an individual that others had overlooked, He was painting a picture of what our lives could look like when we love our neighbors and join Jesus in His mission. One Loudoun Revival seeks to be ambassadors of God the Father to the world by serving others and spreading the teaching of Jesus Christ.

Continue to pray for Souls to be saved, healing and deliverance to take place, bridges to be built, Kingdom Relationships to be forged, Loudoun County to be united and God’s Kingdom to be advanced.

187 adults and 91 children attended the second night of revival.

Friday August 14 Pastor Michelle C. Thomas, Holy & Whole Life Changing Ministries International, Lansdowne shall provide the message.

100% tax deductible donations are graciously accepted to assist in supporting this 3-night camp meeting styled Tent Revival. Please write checks payable to One Loudoun Revival. For more information contact Pastor Michelle Thomas at 703-298-0887 or by email at pastorm@holyandwhole.org.

“Instead, be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ” (Ephesians 5: 18-20).
