Police Catch Juvenile During School Break-in
He was spotted on security cameras early Tuesday, say Leesburg police.

Leesburg police caught and arrested a 16-year-old boy early Tuesday who had broken into a local elementary school.
The juvenile, from Leesburg, took a pair of safety glasses from inside Cool Spring Elementary School, 501 Tavistock Drive SE, the town police said. They found no damage to the interior or exterior of the building.
The juvenile was released to the custody of his parent, and the incident will be referred to Loudoun County’s juvenile court system regarding charges, the police said.

The police responded to the school at about 2:42 a.m. Tuesday when a burglar alarm went off, according to a police report. At the same time, security personnel with the Loudoun County Public Schools reported to the Leesburg police that they spotted a subject inside the school’s main office on security cameras.
A number of officers arrived, set up a perimeter around the school and then began searching inside. They spotted the suspect running through a hallway towards an exit door. As they pursued him, he exited the building and was immediately apprehended.
