Promethean Light Group Offers Consulting in a "Borderless World"

New business consulting firm opens in Leesburg, hoping to expand client base.

Promethean Light Group, a new consulting company established earlier this year in Leesburg, is hoping to use the “borderless world” provided by the internet to find a variety of businesses to partner with.

PLG is the brainchild of Clay Sharman and Jeff DeMeo.

Sharman, a former consultant to government contractors, said he hopes to partner with similar businesses, many of which are located in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

In many such companies, there is a focus on satisfying the customer, but reinvesting in the employees goes by the wayside, Sharman said.

There are companies that suffer high turnover, employee job dissatisfaction and are in need of a “cultural change,” he said. PLG wants to step in and help.

“Training is one of the first things that a business says is important, but its one of the first things that they’ll sacrifice on a daily basis,” Sharman said.

DeMeo brings his networking experience to the company, and is currently scouring various avenues for potential clients. Because the internet offers a “borderless world,” those clients needn’t be in the immediate area, although Sharman said the company has been attending events held by the Loudoun Chamber of Commerce in the hopes of finding partners.

“Obviously there is a lot of business in the [Washington, D.C.] area,” Sharman said. “Our goal is to go to get the work done for the people who want it done.”
