SAR participates in Star Spangled South Riding

On Friday, June 27, 2025 the Sgt Maj John Champe Chapter VA SAR participated in the Star Spangled South Riding community parade and display. The parade started at the South Riding Town Hall on Center Street in South Riding, wound through the community and ended at the South Riding Golf Club. At the Golf Club parking lot people attending were presented with food trucks, a beverage center and opportunity to watch the evening fireworks.

The float was parked in front of the South Riding Golf Course club house. Community residents were encouraged to ring the replica Liberty Bell, take photographs with Revolutionary War militia soldiers, and take their choice of a miniature U.S. Flag, patriotic button or patriotic rubber duck. Brochures on Loudoun County native and Revolutionary hero John Champe were given out.
