SAR welcome Veterans Honor Flight at Dulles International Airport

The Sgt Maj John Champe Chapter VA SAR participated in Honoring 112 Veterans

Men representing three Chapters of Virginia SAR honored Veterans arriving from Chicago at the main terminal at Dulles International Airport on Wednesday, June 18. One Veteran of World War II, four veterans of the Korean War and one-hundred and seven veterans of Vietnam were welcomed and honored. There were seventeen Veterans of the United States Air Force, sixty-seven veterans of the United States Army, twelve veterans of the United States Marine Corps, fifteen veterans of the United States Navy, and one veteran of the United States Coast Guard.

The Loudoun County based Sgt Maj John Champe Chapter was represented by Chapter Vice President Mark Sink. He was joined by two members of the Col. James Wood II Chapter: President Paul Christensen and past President Chip Daniel. Also joining the group was Fairfax Resolves Chapter member Jim Cordes.
