Sgt Maj John Champ Chapter SAR Participated in the George Washington Birthday parade

``Warmer weather and blue skies were welcome for the annual George Washington birthday parade in old town Alexandria. The Sgt Maj John Champe participated with a 22' float owned by Compatriot Warner Workman. Four chapter compatriots participated: Warner Workman tow vehicle driver, Ken Bonner marched with the Virginia SAR Color Guard, Steve Van Deusen and Mark Sink rode the float and rang the 1/3 size Liberty Bell. The float was decorated with graphics commemorating George Washington and other founding fathers of the United States. Multiple famous flags from the Nation's history flew on the sides of the Float.

Co-Grand Marshalls this year were National Society of the American Revolution President General Michael Elston and National Society Daughters of the American Revolution Jennie Sebastian Storage. They stopped at the float to ring the Liberty Bell.
