Sgt Maj John Champe Chapter SAR Honors Veterans on Chicago honor Flight 128
Veterans from the Chicago area arrived at Dulles International Airport on Wednesday, May 20 to tour Washington DC Veteran Memorials
One-hundred and ten veterans who served in the United States Army, United States Navy, United States Marine Corps, United States Coast Guard, and United States Air Force were honored by a great turnout of organizations on Wednesday, May 20 as they arrived at Dulles International Airport. A team of Northern Virginia Region Sons of the American Revolution greeted the veterans by presenting colors as the veterans moved from the people movers to waiting buses. The majority of were veterans of the Vietnam War, a few were veterans of the Korean War.
Honor Flights are all expenses paid tours of War memorials in the National Capital Region. Each Veteran is paired with a younger individual who accompanies the Veteran throughout the tour. Each bus carries an experienced medical professional in the event a veteran has a medical emergency or mishap.
