Sgt Maj John Champe Chapter SAR presents Wounded Warrior Coins

Two Chapter members received the SAR Wounded Warrior Coin on 16 December

Two members of the Sgt Maj John Champe Chapter, VA SAR were presented the SAR Wounded Warrior Coin and Certificate following the 250th Commemoration of the Boston Tea Party at the Spirit of Loudoun on the grounds of the county courthouse.

Vincent E. Knapp served in the United States Army. During his service he received Line of Duty injuries resulting in medical retirement. He is disabled American Veteran. John G. McWilliams III served in the United States Navy. During his service he received Line of Duty exposure to an unknown substance resulting in severe life-long respiratory problems. He was medically retired and is a Disabled American Veteran.

The presentations were made by Barry Schwoerer, President of the Sgt Maj John Champe Chapter. The SAR Wounded Warrior coin is a small token of appreciation for service in the United States Armed Forces that results in disabling injury in the line of duty.
