“Souper” Weekend at Willowcroft

The winery is offering soup, bread, a wine tasting and a glass of wine for $15.

As the clock winds down toward the Super Bowl, it is shaping up to be another “souper” weekend at .

The popular Leesburg winery's next Soup Weekend will be held on both Saturday and Sunday, February 4 and 5, from 12 noon until 4 p.m.

For $15, each guest will get a bowl of soup, bread, crackers, a wine tasting and a glass of wine.

“It’s a good deal,” said Willowcroft’s Marketing Director Kelly Peck. “Normally in the winter, [business] slows down dramatically, but the soup has been a hit.”

Willowcroft started the Soup Weekends in January, and they will continue through February, featuring a different soup each week. Brunswick stew will be served this weekend.

Peck said that guests are asked to call ahead to make a reservation, since the Soup Weekends are catered events. The telephone number is 703-777-8161.
