Tally Ho Theater to Provide New Opportunities

Music and cultural events to anchor the future of venerable location.

Last week's announcement that the was met with a mixture of sadness, surprise and speculation, in the form of what the future may hold for the venerable location.

Town of Leesburg representatives, including staff from Economic Development, have spoken with the owner of the venue, Don Devine, regularly about the project, and speculation has been replaced with optimism as he laid out the future plans of the Tally Ho.

“We are excited about the future,” Devine said. “Excited about providing a venue for music and cultural events in Leesburg, as well as the prospect for a continued movie presence in the downtown.”

Devine said that there would be potential opportunities for the Loudoun Symphony, as well as other groups, including a variety of regional and national music, existing comedy acts and private event rental. The annual Jingle Jam concert has already been scheduled for Dec. 8.

“This is not the end of the Tally Ho," Devine said. "This is the beginning of some very exciting prospects for the future."
