Town Celebrates Wolf Furniture's Grand Opening
Mayor Kristen Umstattd officiated Tuesday evening's event, which welcomed well over 100 people who came out to show their support.
The parking lot was full as was the store during Wolf Furniture’s ribbon cutting and grand opening event on Tuesday. The Leesburg location is the first store to open in the state of Virginia and is one of 12 stores that are family owned.
According to fourth generation owner Doug Wolf, it took five years to turn the new furniture store into a reality. In 2007, Wolf Furniture announced that they would be canceling the construction of their new furniture showroom.
Following a complete reorganization of the town’s land development process, including the creation of a new department of plan review, Wolf Furniture came back to the town in early 2011 with renewed plans to build their Leesburg location. One year later, the doors have finally opened.
“It’s a relief. It’s been a long time coming and we’re happy to be a part of the Leesburg community, “ said Director of Marketing Chris Bertani, adding that he looks forward to profitable sales while fulfilling the communities need.

Wolf echoed Bertani’s comments and said that Leesburg has "been on the company’s dream list for long time." The family owns a successful store in Frederick, MD, he said, which many local residents have visited.
“We’ve had a lot of customers from this area go to our Frederick store and ask year after year, “When will you open something?’, ‘When are you coming?’ So we knew we’d have a strong client base when we arrived,” he said.

Wolf described his family business as “the big store in a smaller town,” which offers the best of both worlds. This includes an in-stock program, low priced furniture, custom orders and an overall better product.
“We don’t sell cheap furniture and we don’t sell high end furniture,” Wolf said. “We like to be able to think that the consumer can buy from us through many stages of her families life.”
The new furniture store, which is just under 50,000 square feet is officially open to the public. It is located at 131 Fort Evans Rd. NE, in Leesburg. To learn more visit Wolf Furniture online or call 703-840-1301.
