Update: Fire Destroys Barn at Morven Park

The Loudoun County Fire Marshal's Office remains on scene to continue their investigation. No injuries have been reported.


Fire and rescue units from Leesburg, Lucketts, Lansdowne, Hamilton and Ashburn responded to a barn fire on the equestrian side of , Tuesday night, located in the 41000 block of Tutt Lane.

According to Loudoun County Fire-Rescue Services' Laura Rinehart, the first arriving units found a large unoccupied barn fully involved on the grounds of the Morven Park Equestrian Center. With no life hazards and a well-advanced fire, a defensive fire attack was implemented. Tankers shuttled water from hydrants at Tuscarora High School to the scene of the fire.

Morven Park staff has reported that there were no animals inside of the barn at the time of the fire. No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported.

As of Wednesday morning, the Loudoun County Fire Marshal’s Office remains on scene to continue their investigation. A cause or dollar loss amount has not yet been determined.
