Village at Leesburg Annual Tree Lighting Festival November 21 3-5 pm

Santa will help light the five-story tall christmas tree in the Village Plaza.

Leesburg, Virginia – Village at Leesburg is starting the holiday season with help from Santa Claus, who will be on hand to help light the five-story tree in the Village Plaza during the Annual Tree Lighting Festival. Santa arrives at 3 p.m. to start the festivities, Mayor Kristin Umstattd will light the towering tree, complete with its snowfall topper and more than 15,000 lights at 5 p.m. for The Grand Musical Finale. There will be plenty to do all along the Village Plaza during the event; visitors can enjoy horse-drawn carriage rides, caroling, holiday characters, cozy fire pits and more festive fun! Everyone is encouraged to bring a toy to be donated to Toys for Tots.

The tree-lighting festival kicks off a season of holiday events! The dazzling music and light shows will continue to take place daily throughout January 3, Village at Leesburg visitors will be able to enjoy the musical tree shows on the hour from 12 – 9 p.m. Other activities include free horse-drawn carriage rides, visits with Santa, International TUBACHRISTMAS and more! Toys for Tots will be on hand throughout the season collecting new, unwrapped toys. Carriage rides will continue through December 19 on Fridays and Saturdays from 5 to 9 pm, and Santa will be taking requests from December 2 to December 17 on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. Just bring a camera and don’t tug on his beard, because he and his beard are the real deal! Wednesdays are pet-friendly for visitors looking to get Fido or Fifi into a Santa visit photo.

If your family can’t get enough of Santa during the holiday season, you can share breakfast or lunch with Santa and Mrs. Claus at your favorite Village at Leesburg restaurant. Make your reservation for a meal the whole family will remember at a participating village restaurant, including Travinia Italian Kitchen, Bello Pranzo Pizza & Pasta, King Pinz, Smokehouse Live, and Eggspectation. Enjoy the company of the Clauses, breakfast and a photo and souvenir. Donations for Toys for Tots are also encouraged.
