Village at Leesburg To Host First Mega Block Ice Carving Competition January 31

Will be held January 31 as part of 2nd Annual Winter Ice Fest.

Eight world-class ice carvers will go head to head on January 31 as Village at Leesburg hosts their 2nd Annual Winter Ice Fest and first ever Mega Block Ice Carving Competition. The competition has been sanctioned by the National Ice Carving Association and begins at 9 am. A winner will be announced at 5 pm in addition to illumination of the pieces.

Village at Leesburg has also commissioned a patriotic-themed signature sculpture for the center courtyard area, created by Baltimore-based Ice Lab Ice Sculptures. From 1-5 pm, free hot chocolate, cider, and s’mores will be provided while supplies last, in addition to music by a DJ and a warming station. Also participating will be the Red Rockets Capital cheerleaders.

Village at Leesburg is located just off Route 7 at the Crosstrail Boulevard/River Creek Parkway exit in Leesburg, Va. This destination shopping center features 55 national, regional and boutique retail shops and restaurants, including Wegmans, Cobb Village 12 Cinemas, LA Fitness, Ulta, Orvis, Firebirds, Pinz bowling alley, Sweet & Sassy, and Travinia Italian Kitchen. The Rappaport Companies provide property management services and oversee leasing for the center.
