Weather Alert: Winter Storm Warning Issued for Leesburg
Heavy snow expected to start Saturday morning, according to National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for the Leesburg area. The warning is in effect from 9 a.m Saturday until 6 a.m. Sunday.
A mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain is expected, with up to 6 inches of snow and sleet possible.
The snow is expected to begin between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., with the heaviest snow expected Sunday morning and afternoon. It will change to freezing rain toward the evening, according to the NWS.

“Snow and ice will cause hazardous traveling conditions through tonight,” according to the NWS statement.
