Weather Decision from Loudoun County Schools for Friday

Difficult weather conditions expected on March 6 have schools acting early to protect students and staff.

A major snowstorm hit Northern Virginia on Thursday, and the Loudoun County Public Schools closed their doors, giving students the day off.

With a weather forecast for Friday calling for bitter cold and local roads expected to be icy and treacherous, the Loudoun school system made an announcement about classes for Friday:

“Because of the after-effects of the snowstorm, Loudoun County Public Schools will be closed on Friday, March 6th. All administrative offices also will be closed.”
