Wife Charged in Stabbing Death of Leesburg Man
The names of the victim and the suspect were released Sunday.

A Leesburg woman has been charged in the stabbing death of her husband, according the Leesburg Police Department. Detectives on Sunday continued to investigate the circumstances that resulted in the death of Kyung Hwang, 63, of Leesburg, who was discovered Saturday. Hwang’s name was released Sunday.
Officers responded shortly after 6 a.m. to the 1600 block of Chickasaw Place NE in Leesburg following reports of a suspicious event and found Hwang dead, apparently form multiple stab wounds, in an upstairs bedroom, according to a Leesburg Police press release.
There had been no previous service calls regarding the apartment, according to the release.

An investigation of the victim’s wife, Dae Hwang, 57, of Leesburg, resulted in the first-degree murder charge. Hwang remains in custody without bond, pending an arraignment hearing Monday.
