Willard Middle School students win Virginia SAR Brochure contest

1st and 2nd place awards for the Virginia SAR Brochure contest were presented to Lasya Gampa and Nishka Kayapanda

The National Society Sons of the American Revolution sponsors the Sgt Moses Adams Memorial Middle School Brochure Contest. The contest is implemented by chapters within each State Society. At Willard Middle School the contest was sponsored by the Sgt Maj John Champe Chapter (SMJC) serving Loudoun County. After selecting the top three brochures, the SMJC Chapter partnered with the George Washington Chapter to have the SMJC 2nd Place brochure sponsored as the George Washington Chapter brochure for submission to the Virginia SAR contest.

After judging all brochures submitted by the 30 Virginia SAR Chapters Lasya Gampa's brochure was selected as the best brochure submitted for school year 2024-2025. The Virginia Society SAR awarded Lasya a significant cash award and certificate. Nishka Kayapandas brochure was selected as the the 2nd best brochure for school year 2024-2025. Nishka was awarded a cash award and certificate.

This is the second year in a row that students from Willard Middle School took the top award for the SAR Brochure contest. Lasya's brochure has been forwarded to the National SAR Brochure contest chairman for judging against submissions by the 53 State or International Societies.
