Woman Bit, Punched Deputies After DUI Arrest: Sheriff's Office
The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said a woman assaulted deputies after she was accused of drunken driving with children in the vehicle.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — A woman bit and punched deputies after she was accused of drunken driving in Leesburg on Tuesday, police claimed. Police responded to the scene after she crashed with children in her vehicle, according to the police report.
The woman and a deputy received treatment at an area hospital.
Police identified the woman as 34-year-old Shakita Love. She is charged with two counts of gross, wanton, or reckless care for a child, two counts of assault on law enforcement, one count of driving while intoxicated, one count of disorderly conduct on hospital grounds, one count of driving without a license, and one count of obstruction of justice.

If convicted of all charges, Love could face up to 20 years in prison, based on Virginia's sentencing guidelines.
The crash occurred around 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday near the intersection of Newvalley Church Road Rosefinch Circle, according to the police report.

"While investigating, the driver of the striking vehicle became disorderly and was found to be under the influence," the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said in a report. "Two juveniles were also in the vehicle."
Authorities claimed that the woman punched a deputy while she was being taken to the hospital. Police said she tried to assault the deputy again.
After the hospital released her, authorities took Love to the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center. There, she bit a deputy, according to police.
Love is now being held without bond.
