The Workhouse is pleased to partner with Virginia Storytelling Alliance (VASA) for a full day of workshops for beginning and experienced storytelling artists. This special day will be concluded by a Storytelling concert in the Workhouse's Main Gallery and an hour session of Open Mic! Workshops are $25 each; VASA Concert: $12 (n/m), $10 (VASA and FOW Members, and children who listen like adults) Special note: Members may register for an "All Day VASA Pass", which includes choice of three workshops and the evening concert for $80. "All Day VASA Pass" is not available for online sales, please register by phone, mail or in person at the Workhouse Arts Center.
Conclude this special day with VASA's Storytelling Concert in the Workhouse Main Gallery (W-16, Second Floor) from 7-8:30pm. MC Barbara Effron will lead storytellers Megan Hicks, Bill Bayhew, Denise Bennett and Linda Fang in an evening of storytelling magic! Stick around for refreshments and an OPEN MIC from 9-10pm lead by Gary Lloyd!
